Unit flags follow specifications governed by the Marine Corps Flag Manual and the Institute of Heraldry, with scarlet as the Corps' official color established by Marine Corps Order 4 in 1925 and codified in the 1939 standard. Operational support units sit at the backbone of Marine readiness, providing the logistics, communications, administration, and sustainment functions that allow combat elements to train, deploy, and fight. Within Marine Forces Reserve, support units augment and reinforce active component forces across the full spectrum of military operations, from contingency response to peacetime operational tempo relief. The organizational flag patch captures that identity in embroidered form, translating the scarlet field, Eagle Globe and Anchor, and unit designation into a compact, wearable piece that carries the same institutional weight as the full-size standard displayed in a commanding officer's office. The embroidered construction gives the design clean thread definition and lasting color, making it equally suited to a uniform, a gear bag, a shadow box panel, or a framed unit-history display.

Perfect For: Marine support unit veterans, operational sustainment personnel, Marine Forces Reserve alumni, logistics and communications Marines, unit historians, family members of support-billet Marines, shadow box builders, challenge coin and patch board collectors, reunion organizers, and anyone who wants a specific, flag-based emblem to anchor a Marine Corps unit-history collection. It also works for active-duty and reserve Marines who served in support billets and want a patch that reflects the organizational flag of their unit rather than a generic Corps emblem.

Scarlet and gold, stitched for the Marines who sustain the mission from the first formation to the final movement.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0817/1287/3707/files/official-operational-support-unit-flag-patch_1.png?v=1793014467
